Niles sits 15 miles northwest of downtown Chicago in Cook County, easily reached via I-294 north to the Dempster Street exit. Milwaukee Avenue and US Route 14 provide the main east-west connections through town, while I-294 handles north-south traffic. O'Hare Airport is just 8 miles southwest. The city's claim to fame is its half-scale replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, standing 94 feet tall near Touhy Avenue.
