Nezperce is a farming town of 500 people in north-central Idaho's Lewis County, nestled in the Clearwater River valley among wheat fields and rolling hills. Highway 95 runs through town, connecting south to Lewiston (30 miles) and north toward Moscow. Most trips are local runs to nearby communities, though long-distance travelers use Highway 95 to reach Interstate 84 or continue north to Coeur d'Alene. The Nez Perce National Historical Park's Spalding site nearby marks Idaho's first Christian mission from 1836.
