Newtown is a tiny farming community in north-central Missouri's Sullivan County with just over 100 residents. Highway 6 runs east-west through town, connecting to Milan 15 miles east and Trenton to the west, while US 65 provides north-south access about 20 miles away toward Kansas City. The town preserves a one-room schoolhouse from 1895 that served local students until 1967.
