Newton is a small Iowa city 30 miles east of Des Moines on Interstate 80. Take Exit 164 to reach downtown in minutes. Highway 6 connects east to Iowa City and west to Des Moines for commuters. The town was once home to Maytag's headquarters and now hosts NASCAR races at Iowa Speedway.
