Newcomerstown is a small Ohio town of about 3,700 people along the Tuscarawas River, roughly 90 miles from both Columbus and Cleveland. State Route 36 runs right through the center, connecting to Interstate 77 just 8 miles east for major north-south travel. The town is famous as the childhood home of legendary Ohio State football coach Woody Hayes, with a museum dedicated to him on West Canal Street.
