Newcastle is a growing suburb about 20 miles south of Oklahoma City via Interstate 44. The city connects to the metro area through I-44 north to downtown OKC, Highway 9 east to Norman, and Highway 37 to Moore. Most residents commute daily to Oklahoma City for work. The University of Oklahoma Westheimer Airport here serves as a training facility and hosts the annual Wings Over Oklahoma air show.
