Newburg is a small Preston County community of 226 people along the North Branch Potomac River in West Virginia's Appalachian foothills. Reach it via US Route 50, about 45 miles from Morgantown or 30 miles from I-68 in Maryland. The 1924 covered bridge over the river remains a working piece of local history.
