Newborn is a small Georgia town of about 650 people located 45 miles east of Atlanta in Newton County. Take I-20 east to Exit 90, then follow local roads through the Piedmont countryside. The town sits in rolling hill country with a humid subtropical climate. Most visitors arrive via I-20 from Atlanta or Augusta, while locals use State Route 142 and county roads to reach nearby Covington. The town got its unique name from being the "newest" post office in Newton County when established in the early 1900s.
