Newark is a small Texas city about 35 miles northwest of Fort Worth in Wise County. Highway 114 provides the main route into the metroplex, while Highway 199 runs north-south through town. Most residents commute to Fort Worth along Highway 114, a 45-minute drive. The nearby Alliance Airport handles cargo operations. Newark's restored 1920s railroad depot now serves as the town museum.
