Newark is a small Arkansas town along Highway 167, about 15 miles south of Batesville and 90 miles from Little Rock. The community sits in the White River valley where Ozark foothills meet Delta farmland. Most visitors pass through on Highway 167 or use the Highway 14 junction for east-west travel. Newark hosts an annual Tomato Festival celebrating the area's agricultural heritage.
