New Summerfield is a small East Texas town of about 600 people, located 15 miles southeast of Tyler via Highway 155. The drive takes you through classic Piney Woods countryside with rolling hills and dense forests. Most visitors arrive from Tyler or use US 69 as their main connection point. The town hosts the annual Cherokee County Fair, a traditional Texas celebration complete with rodeo and livestock shows.
