New Paris is a small farming town of 1,600 people in western Ohio near the Indiana border. US Route 127 runs right through town, connecting north to Eaton and south into Indiana, while State Route 503 provides east-west access. Most long-distance travelers use local roads to reach Interstate 70 about 20 miles away. The town still has a working covered bridge that cars can drive across.
