New Lothrop is a small farming town of 733 people in central Michigan's Shiawassee County. Take State Route 52 north from I-69 near Durand to reach the center of town. Bishop International Airport is about 25 miles southeast in Flint. The working grain elevator beside the railroad tracks still defines this agricultural community.
