New Hope is a small city of 680 people in Collin County, about 35 miles northeast of Dallas. Highway 380 runs east-west through town, connecting to McKinney 10 miles west and providing access to US 75 for Dallas trips. Most residents make short drives to nearby McKinney or Princeton for daily needs. The city still operates one of Collin County's few remaining volunteer fire departments.
