New Hope is a northwest Minneapolis suburb of 21,000 people, easily reached via Highway 169 north from downtown Minneapolis in about 25 minutes. Interstate 694 provides east-west access through the area. The city sits between major corridors with Crystal Airport nearby for general aviation. New Hope is home to the historic Ames Ice Arena, a premier Twin Cities hockey facility since 1974.
