New Florence is a small Missouri River town of about 670 people, located 90 miles west of St. Louis just off I-70 at Exit 170. US Highway 19 runs through town, connecting south to the wine region around Hermann and north toward Hannibal. The community sits in rolling farm country with a continental climate. New Florence operates one of Missouri's last cable ferry crossings over the Missouri River.
