New Eucha is a tiny community in northeast Oklahoma's Delaware County, tucked into the wooded Ozark foothills near the Arkansas border. Most visitors arrive via Highway 10 from Grove (15 miles southwest) or take the longer drive from Tulsa via Highway 412. The area serves weekend lake visitors heading to Grand Lake O' the Cherokees and those exploring local Cherokee heritage sites. The town's name comes from a Cherokee word meaning "there it is," referring to the distinctive red clay hills early tribal members spotted here.
