New Bloomfield is a small Missouri town of about 900 people along Highway 54, roughly 30 miles northwest of Jefferson City. The main route in is Highway 54, which connects to Interstate 70 for longer trips to St. Louis or Kansas City. Columbia is about 45 minutes northeast via the same highway. The town sits in rolling farmland with a continental climate. Each September, New Bloomfield hosts a Homecoming Festival featuring a parade of vintage tractors that draws visitors from across the region.
