Neodesha is a small Kansas town of 2,500 people located on US 75, about 100 miles south of Kansas City. The main routes are US 75 running north-south and Highway 96 east-west, connecting to nearby Chanute and Fredonia. Most long-distance travelers use US 75 to reach Interstate 35. The town was home to the world's first commercial oil refinery in 1895.
