Nelsonville is a small Hudson Valley village about 50 miles north of NYC, reached via Route 9D and the scenic Bear Mountain Bridge crossing. Long-distance visitors use I-84 to local roads, while day-trippers from the city take the Taconic Parkway north. The 1876 Victorian Town Hall still serves as the village's government center.
