Neeses sits along US Highway 321 in rural Orangeburg County, about 45 miles south of Columbia via Interstate 26. This small farming community of just over 500 residents connects the region through Highway 321's north-south corridor and intersecting SC Highway 4. The original Nees family general store from the 1800s still stands on Main Street, a reminder of the German settlers who founded this agricultural town.
