Neenah sits in Wisconsin's Fox River Valley, about 100 miles northwest of Milwaukee along US Highway 10. Interstate 41 runs just east of town, connecting to Green Bay and Milwaukee, while Highway 10 links directly to neighboring Appleton three miles north. The Fox River flows right through downtown, creating the historic Menominee Island district with shops and river walks. Appleton International Airport is 10 miles northeast via I-41. The city's most unique feature is Doty Island, a 4,000-acre residential island in Lake Winnebago connected by bridges.
