Natchez is a small northwestern Louisiana town of about 350 people in Natchitoches Parish, surrounded by pine forests and rolling hills. Reach it via Louisiana Highway 9, about 15 miles north of Natchitoches or 45 miles southeast of Shreveport via US-84. The town sits along Saline Bayou, one of Louisiana's few National Wild and Scenic Rivers.
