Nashua is a farming community of 1,600 people in northeast Iowa's Chickasaw County. Highway 218 runs north-south through town, connecting to Waterloo 45 miles south, while Highway 346 heads west to New Hampton. The town sits between major interstates, making it a quiet alternative route for travelers between Minneapolis and central Iowa. Its 1904 Carnegie Library remains one of Iowa's few still operating in its original building.
