Nashotah is a small lake community in Waukesha County, about 35 miles west of Milwaukee via I-94 and Highway 83. This town of 1,350 sits among rolling hills and wooded areas in Wisconsin's lake country. Highway 83 provides the main north-south access, connecting to Hartland and other area communities. The town gets its name from a Potawatomi word meaning "twins," after the two connected lakes that define the area.
