Muttontown is a small Nassau County village on Long Island, about 35 miles east of Manhattan via the Long Island Expressway to Exit 41N, then north on Route 106. The Northern State Parkway offers an alternate route through Exit 35N. This North Shore community sits on rolling terrain between major east-west corridors Route 25A and the parkway system. The 550-acre Muttontown Preserve contains ruins of the historic Knollwood estate, including visible concrete foundations from a grand mansion.
