Murtaugh is a farming community of 129 people in south-central Idaho, about 15 miles east of Twin Falls via Highway 30. The town sits along the Snake River Plain's irrigation network, surrounded by green fields that contrast sharply with the high desert landscape. Its claim to fame is being part of Idaho's pioneering canal system that turned sagebrush into farmland.
