Murray is a farming town of 600 people in south-central Iowa, about 30 miles south of Des Moines via Interstate 35 and Highway 69. The main route runs north to Indianola and south to Osceola, serving local commuters and agricultural traffic. The town's working grain elevator still processes crops from surrounding farms.
