Murdo is a small prairie town along Interstate 90 in south-central South Dakota, perfectly positioned as a rest stop between Rapid City and Sioux Falls. Most visitors arrive via I-90, with Highway 83 providing north-south access. The town of 600 residents sits in typical Great Plains grassland at about 2,200 feet elevation, experiencing hot summers and cold winters. Murdo is famous for the Pioneer Auto Show, one of America's largest antique car collections with hundreds of vintage vehicles.
