Munising is your gateway to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Lake Superior's south shore. Take Highway 28 from Marquette (45 miles west) or Highway 94 north from Seney through wildlife refuge country. The protected harbor launches boat tours to those famous sandstone cliffs and waterfalls that put this UP town on the map. The old 1895 blast furnace smokestack still towers over downtown.
