Munhall sits just 8 miles southeast of Pittsburgh along the Monongahela River in the old steel valley. Take I-376 east from downtown Pittsburgh or connect from the Pennsylvania Turnpike via I-376 west. Route 837 runs right through town along the river, while Brownsville Road handles north-south traffic. It's the birthplace of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson, whose childhood home on Bedford Avenue draws theater fans from around the world.
