Mullens is a small coal town of 2,000 people in southern West Virginia's Wyoming County, accessible via US Route 52 which runs north-south through town. The main route connects Logan (30 miles north) with Welch and Virginia to the south, while WV Route 16 heads east to the West Virginia Turnpike and Interstate 77. The restored 1920s Mullens Depot now serves as a museum showcasing the area's mining history.
