Mountain View is a small Ozarks town of 2,700 people that sits along US Highway 60 in south-central Missouri. The main routes are US 60 east-west and State Route 17 north-south, with Springfield 75 miles west and West Plains 20 miles south. It's the gateway to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways and hosts the annual Ozark Folk Festival each October on the courthouse square.
