Mount Pleasant is a small Tennessee farming town about 45 miles southwest of Nashville, reached via US 43 and State Route 166 from I-65. The city of nearly 5,000 sits in rolling countryside typical of Middle Tennessee's Highland Rim. Most visitors drive from Nashville or Alabama, while locals commute daily to Columbia and Franklin. The annual Maury County Fair has used the same fairgrounds here since 1954.
