Mount Olive is a small Wayne County town in eastern North Carolina, accessible via US Highway 117 from Interstate 40 near Goldsboro. The town sits in gentle farmland about 60 miles southeast of Raleigh, with US 55 providing east-west connections. It's home to the University of Mount Olive and claims fame as the birthplace of Mt.
