Mount Gilead, the Morrow County seat, sits along State Route 61 between Columbus and Mansfield in north-central Ohio's farm country. Most visitors arrive via I-71 to Route 61 (about an hour from Columbus) or Route 97 to Route 61 from Cleveland. The 1883 courthouse with its working clock tower dominates the town square and has been keeping time for over 140 years.
