Mount Etna is a tiny farming town in northeastern Indiana's Huntington County, reachable via State Road 124 and county roads off US Highway 24. It's about 45 minutes from Fort Wayne and two hours from Indianapolis via I-69 and US 24. The surrounding flat farmland follows the classic Midwest grid pattern of geometric fields and straight roads. The post office and volunteer fire department share the same modest building, which serves as the community's de facto town center.
