Moundridge lies along US Highway 81 in central Kansas, about 15 miles north of Newton. The small prairie town connects easily to McPherson and Hesston via county roads, with most traffic being local commuters. Long-distance travelers use Highway 81 for north-south routes through the state. The town houses Bethel College and preserves its original 1887 Santa Fe Railroad depot as a historical museum.
