Moulton is a small Texas town of about 900 people located 90 miles southeast of Austin in Lavaca County's rolling farmland. The main route from Austin follows US 183 south through Lockhart, then Highway 97 east via Shiner. From Houston, take US 59 north to Edna, then Highway 111 west. The town's red brick courthouse from 1899 still serves as the county seat.
