Motley is a small central Minnesota town of about 600 people, located at the intersection of Highways 210 and 64, roughly 130 miles northwest of Minneapolis. The main route from the Twin Cities follows I-94 west to Highway 210, then northwest through Brainerd. The town sits in lake country with rolling, forested terrain and serves as a gateway to the region's numerous resorts and cabins. Motley hosts an annual Waterfowl Festival each September that celebrates the area's wetland heritage.
