The town of 1,300 sits amid Minnesota farmland, with Highway 60 serving as the main east-west route connecting Faribault and Owatonna. Local roads link surrounding agricultural areas, while the nearest airports are in Owatonna and Faribault. The restored 1920s grain elevator downtown now houses the historical society museum.
