Morocco is a small farming town in northwestern Indiana's Newton County, connected by State Road 16 to nearby Rensselaer and other regional communities. Most visitors arrive via US-52 from Lafayette or various routes from the Chicago area. The town's most notable feature is its exotic name, reportedly chosen randomly from a hat when early settlers couldn't agree on what to call their new community.
