Moreauville is a small Red River town in central Louisiana, about 45 miles northwest of Alexandria. Take US 71 north to Highway 1, which runs right through the community of 773 residents. The area's subtropical climate and river bottomland create fertile agricultural country. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, built in 1903 with Gothic Revival architecture, serves as the town's most recognizable landmark along Highway 1.
