Mooreland is a small farming town in northwestern Oklahoma, about 150 miles from Oklahoma City via I-35 north to I-40 west, then US-412 northwest. The main route from Woodward follows US-412 directly east for 20 miles. The town sits among wheat fields and cattle ranches on the rolling plains near the Kansas border. Its historic grain elevator towers over the flat prairie landscape, serving as a landmark visible for miles around.
