Moody AFB is a small military community in south Georgia, built around the Air Force base that trains A-10 "Warthog" pilots. Take I-75 to Exit 16, then follow SR-125 directly to the base. Most visitors come from Valdosta (12 miles) or drive down from Atlanta on I-75. The base is known for its distinctive A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft with their unusual twin engines mounted above the wings.
