Monticello is a small farming town in southwestern Wisconsin, about 25 miles south of Madison via Highway 69. Highway 11 connects it east to Janesville and I-90, while Highway 39 runs north-south through town toward Monroe. The Little Sugar River flows directly through downtown, where it once powered the community's 1850s flour mill.
