Monticello is a small county seat in north-central Indiana, about 75 miles northwest of Indianapolis along the Tippecanoe River. Take US 24 west from Lafayette (30 miles) or connect via I-65 to State Road 18 for longer trips. The flat farming country around here gets hot, humid summers and snowy winters.
