Monteagle is a mountain town on I-24 between Nashville and Chattanooga, sitting 2,000 feet up on the Cumberland Plateau. Most drivers know it from the steep eastbound grade with runaway truck ramps. The town offers EV charging and serves as a gateway to South Cumberland State Park. It's home to the historic Monteagle Assembly, a Victorian Chautauqua community from 1882 with original gingerbread cottages.
