Monroeville is a Pittsburgh suburb about 15 miles east of the city, connected by I-376 and US Route 22. The area serves as a gateway between Pittsburgh and eastern Pennsylvania via the Turnpike. With 28,000 residents in Allegheny County's rolling hills, it's known for the Monroeville Mall where George Romero filmed the zombie movie "Dawn of the Dead."
