Monroe is a small farming town in Utah's Sevier Valley, about 12 miles south of Richfield on US Highway 89. The area sits at 5,200 feet elevation between mountain ranges, with access to Fishlake National Forest via State Route 118. Most visitors pass through on US-89 traveling between northern and southern Utah, while locals make daily trips north to Richfield for shopping and services. The town's 1878 red brick Mormon meetinghouse with its Gothic Revival bell tower remains the most recognizable landmark.
